Replaced by PD1
Using Electro-Magnetic technology, Taurus will scan the full length of the vehicle bumper from end to end for obstacles. It will fit almost any car, van or motorhome with 12v electrics and non-metal bumpers. The Taurus T123 preserves the original aesthetic look of the vehicle's bumper with no need for stuck on sensors or holes drilled in the bumper, as it mounts just inside the length of the bumper. With instant, automatic, self-diagnostic function each time the reverse gear is engaged, the Taurus T123 maps out the surrounding area and monitors as you reverse.
Warning Zones

The Taurus T123 provides 3 different tones for signalling the proximity of an obstacle!
Zone 1 - 80cm - 50cm
This is the outer zone where the Taurus T123 starts sensing and it is signalled with a slow "be--be--be" sound.
Zone 2 - 50cm - 25cm
This middle zone gives a faster "be-be-be" sound.
Zone 3 - 25cm - 0cm
Zone 3 is signalled with a constant "be" sound, at which point you should stop reversing.
Fitting
A. Speaker
The Speaker is discreet, just 20mm in diameter and mounts inside the vehicle.
B. Antenna
The Antenna is a thin flexible adhesive strip that mounts behind the bumper. It's 2m length ensures total coverage of even the largest vehicle, offering a full, all round detection zone. It may be cut to the right length with scissors to suit individual cars. It is not recommended to curve it around the edges of the bumper, in case objects next to you are detected instead.
C. Sensor/Processor
The Sensor/Processor is the brain of the Taurus T123 system and mounts either inside the boot or behind the bumper.
The unit then simply wires into the reverse break light feed for power so the unit switches on when you engage reverse gear. You should be able to manage fitting yourself as long as you can remove the bumper cover or access from underneath it. However any qualified mechanic will be able to fit the system. Instructions and a helpline are included but please note packaging is basic as this is often sold direct to garages.
