This parking camera offer much flexibility due to its design. With an angled lens it is suitable for mounting on the rear underneath where your boot handle and number plate lighting sits to give a discreet view of the road behind. The camera has guidelines to help you judge distance. The camera comes with the required 20mm hole cutter, a power lead and 6m phono / RCA cable. If you want to plug this into a screen or head unit you already need the it will need a phono / RCA input.
You may need to program an OEM unit to tell it a camera is fitted for reversing or have it selectable for parking it fitting at the front. Alternatively we do offer this camera as a kit with either a dash board mounted monitor or a mirror monitor which is designed to clip over an existing mirror monitor and works as a mirror in the normal way unit reverse gear is selected and an image received when a picture is displayed from behind the mirrored glass.
When installing we suggest it is good practice to waterproof the connecting joints with some insulation tape or similar to prevent any water or moisture ingress. Also do not run any cabling besides any high powered electrical systems such as a car battery and avoid trying up any spare cabling in a tight ball as this can cause interference. Spare cabling is based taped together in long straight lines.
